This is a standalone decal set in 1:12 scale, not a kit. It holds water-slide decals with the colors of the works Yamaha YZR-M1 motorcycle as it looked during the pre-season testing before the 2011 MotoGP year, and it is meant to bring the matching plastic kit of the motorcycle to life.
The Yamaha YZR-M1 was the Japanese marque's works prototype machine for the premier MotoGP class. The set captures the test colors of spring 2011, that is, from the period of the pre-season running when the team was tuning the motorcycle before the races proper. It takes in the sponsor lettering, the race numbers and other markings matching that period.
Apply the decals to a smooth, gloss and thoroughly dried clear coat. Dip the piece briefly in lukewarm water, move it into place once it comes free of the backing paper and draw the surplus water off. For a perfect fit to the shapes of the fairing we recommend a decal softener and setting solution; once dry, go over everything with clear coat so that the edges of the carrier film blend into the surface.
This is an additional decal set. The motorcycle kit itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
