1:24 Ferrari 458 - Krohn Racing LM2012 Decals Set

Ferrari 458 in the Krohn Racing form, 1:24 scale

A decal sheet for a model of the Ferrari 458 in 1:24 scale. According to the name the sheet carries the graphics of the Krohn Racing team car in its form for Le Mans 2012, that is race numbers, partner names and the additional lettering of a racing car.

What the sheet is good for

A kit of a road or a racing car usually comes in a livery that only a few cars wore. A standalone sheet lets you build one particular car of one particular crew without having to paint the lettering or cut masks. For a display case it is the simplest way to give a model a clear story and to set it apart from a hundred identical ones.

Application

• Paint the body with gloss clear coat and let it cure overnight, as air stays under a decal on a matte layer.
• Cut the artwork out with a minimum of margin, soak it and let it rest on the paper until it moves on its own.
• Slide it onto the wet surface, fine-tune the position with a soft brush and press the water out with a cotton swab.
• On curved places and over engraving use softener, the sheet then draws down without folds.
• Once it is fully dry, coat over it so that the edges of the decals disappear under a uniform gloss.

Who it is for

For builders of models of racing cars who care about one particular car and not about a generic livery. Check the suitability for a particular kit by laying the sheet on dry, as the outlines of the artwork must match the shape of the body.

The package contains the decal sheet itself. The kit, paints, clear coat and softener are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
