Studio27 wet decals for the Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 in the Lukoil color scheme from the race at Nogaro in France in 2014. For the Fujimi kit in 1:24 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 was created as a customer circuit car which private teams bought ready-made and put on the grid all over Europe. It differs from the road SLS AMG coupe in its wide body, flat floor, large rear wing and lightened interior with a roll cage; the engine remained a naturally aspirated V8 mounted at the front, well behind the axle. Nogaro is a French circuit in the southwest of the country on which domestic and international circuit events were run.
The set carries decals for the color scheme that the manufacturer ties to the Lukoil team and to the race at Nogaro in 2014. The artwork is printed to the shapes of the parts of the Fujimi Mercedes SLS kit in 1:24 scale, so it does not have to be trimmed. The basic shade of the body is sprayed beforehand; the decals carry the color scheme, the race number and the lettering.
The decals are of the wet type. Apply them only to dried gloss clear coat, because on a matte base the edge of the film shows. Separate the artwork close to the printing, soak it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest. After sliding it onto the model, press the water out with a soft cloth working from the center, use softener over recesses and edges and let the decal dry without touching it. Coat it over at the end.
For modelers of circuit cars in 1:24 scale who want a less usual color scheme than the works version. The package contains decals. The kit, paints, clear coat, softener and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
