The Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 came about by converting the road SLS AMG coupe into a circuit special of the GT3 category. The engine stayed at the front and is a naturally aspirated V8, but the body was given wider fenders, a front splitter and a large rear wing. This category rests on the cars of different brands being matched in performance, so the result is decided by the work of the team and the drivers. SLS cars therefore started in larger numbers in the middle of the last decade and one team often put several of them on the grid.
The set carries decals for the car with race number 70 in the form that the manufacturer ties to the Russian Team and to the race at Monza in 2015. The artwork is printed to the dimensions of the parts of the Fujimi Mercedes SLS kit in 1:24 scale. With the sister set for the car with number 71 a pair of cars in the same color scheme can be built, but each one needs a kit of its own.
These are wet decals. First spray the body and let it cure to a gloss, so that no matte veil appears under the thin film. Separate the artwork one piece at a time, soak it briefly in lukewarm water and, after it has rested, move it off the paper onto the model. Around recesses, edges and transitions softener helps; on horizontal areas it is enough to press the water out with a soft cloth. Once they are dry, coat the markings over.
