1:24 BMW Z4 GT3 - TDS Racing No.12 Silverstone 2015 Decals Set (for Fujimi Kits)

The real subject

The BMW Z4 GT3 is the racing version of the Z4 roadster, built to the rules of the GT3 category. The engine at the front, the driven rear axle and a strikingly wide body with a long front hood make it one of the most distinctive cars of its class in shape. It was entered above all in endurance races, where one lap is not run on the edge but whole hours in the alternating hands of several drivers. Silverstone in Britain is one of such courses: fast long corners, little shelter from the wind and the traffic of cars of several performance classes on one track.

What the set contains

A decal sheet in 1:24 scale for one particular set of markings of the car, designated as the TDS Racing team with race number 12 for the race at Silverstone. The set is prepared for Fujimi kits; when using it on a model from another maker, count on the shapes of the parts possibly differing and on some of the items not fitting.

How to apply the decals

Decals belong only on dried gloss clear coat, as on a matte base a silvery veil is visible around the item. Cut the item out together with a margin of backing paper, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest until it can be moved to the side. Transfer it to the model, settle it and draw the excess water off with a soft cloth. On the curves of the fenders and around the air intakes a decal softener helps. Once it is dry, go over the part with a layer of clear coat, which sinks the edges into the surface.

Who it is for

For builders of racing cars in 1:24 scale who want a particular car from a particular race instead of generic markings from the box. The kit, paints, clear coat and softener are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
