Studio27 1:24 BMW Z4 GT3, Boutsen Ginion, No. 15, Silverstone 2015 is a sheet of water-transferred decals for the BMW Z4 GT3 kits from Fujimi. This is not a kit: you have to own the model of the car itself.

This is not a kit, but a sheet of water-transferred (water-slide) decals of the Japanese brand Studio27 in 1:24 scale. It serves to re-mark a finished model into a particular racing livery, and that is why you need a model of the car of your own. The sheet is intended for the BMW Z4 GT3 plastic kits from Fujimi. In the package you will find a decal sheet with instructions for the placement; plastic parts, photo-etched items, paints and glue are not included.
The BMW Z4 GT3 (the E89 generation) was an endurance racing special of the GT3 category, with a front V8, a wide body and an aerodynamic package. The car starting with number 15 belonged to the Belgian team Boutsen Ginion Racing, in whose creation the former Formula 1 driver Thierry Boutsen took part. In the 2015 season the crew ran the Z4 in the Blancpain Endurance Series under the banner of this team and in the three-hour race at Silverstone it won the Am class. Silverstone is a British circuit with exceptional history: in 1950 the very first race of the Formula 1 world championship was run here, and to this day it is one of the fastest circuits of the calendar.
Decals are always applied to gloss clear coat, as on a matte surface air is caught under the carrier membrane and the decal silvers, which is the most common mistake when marking racing models. The body of the Z4 is full of curved transitions (fenders, extensions, the cover of the rear wing), so have decal softener ready for the large sponsor markings, as without it a large area wrinkles on a curve. Once it is dry, go over the model with clear coat and polish it lightly; the edge of the decal disappears and the coat gains a wet look. Count on the fact as well that the sheet does not cover the whole body, as you have to mix and spray the basic color of the car yourself so that it follows on from the decals.
