A decal sheet in 1:24 scale for a model of the competition Lancia Super Delta in markings with the BIC sponsor lettering from the Acropolis Rally. The kit itself is not included in the package.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Lancia Super Delta is the competition version of the Delta HF Integrale built to the rules of Group A. A turbocharged four-cylinder engine and all-wheel drive made it the car that closed the most successful chapter of the brand in the World Rally Championship: the Delta won six consecutive manufacturers titles for Lancia. The Acropolis is among the hardest events of the calendar, run on stony and dusty mountain roads in the heat, and the cars leave it battered and covered in dust. That is exactly why the markings of a competition Delta tend to be so bold, so that the car can be recognized even under a layer of dust.
A decal sheet in 1:24 scale for one particular form of the car with the BIC sponsor lettering. It is intended for models of the Super Delta in the same scale; with kits from various makers the shapes of the parts differ, so compare the position of the items with the body before applying them.
Decals belong only on dried gloss clear coat. On a matte or rough surface a silvery veil stays visible around the item. Cut the item out together with a margin of backing paper, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest until it can be moved to the side. Transfer it to the model, settle it into position and draw the excess water off with a soft cloth. On a shaped area, on the edge of a fender or around the air intakes a decal softener helps. Once it is perfectly dry, go over the whole part with a layer of clear coat, which sinks the edges into the surface.
For builders of competition cars in 1:24 scale who want a particular car instead of generic markings from the box. The kit, paints, clear coat and softener are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
