Studio27 1:24, Mazda MX-5 Roadster, a Dress Up decal sheet is a set of markings for individualizing the look of an MX-5 model from the Tamiya kit. This is not a kit: the model of the car has to be your own.

This product is not a kit. It is a sheet of water-slide decals from the Japanese Studio27 in 1:24 scale, intended for a model of the Mazda MX-5 Roadster from the Tamiya kit. The Dress Up range serves to complete and liven up the look of the car: according to the data given for the item it holds, among other things, the graphics of the Potenza brand and race numbers, that is the items with which you give a civilian MX-5 a sportier, tuned character. The model of the car, paints and clear coat are not included in the package.
An important notice: the designation Dress Up does not mean carbon. Imitations of carbon patterns are sold by Studio27 in a separate range of carbon sheets, so do not expect them in this sheet.
The Mazda MX-5 is the best selling two-seat roadster in history. Its charm never rested on power, but on the joy of driving: low weight, honest balance, rear-wheel drive, a manual gearbox and an open roof. It is a recipe that has essentially not changed since the first generation.
That is exactly why this sheet is a different product from a racing livery: the MX-5 is a civilian car, not a race car. The model will therefore appeal rather to lovers of cars and of modern automotive classics than to collectors of motorsport; the decals serve to let everyone dress their model in their own way.
The body of the roadster is largely smooth and glossy, so the decals go on pleasantly, but the golden rule holds: a decal belongs on gloss clear coat, as on a matte surface it will start to silver. With the smaller markings on the fenders, sills and curved sides decal softener helps, so that the film settles without folds. At the end clear coat and polishing, as with a model of a civilian car the main effect is precisely a perfectly smooth, wet surface where the edges of the decals can neither be felt nor seen.
This is a decal set, not a model. The kit, paints, clear coat and softener are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
