The Suzuki GSX-RR is a prototype road-racing special built for the top class of motorcycle road racing. It is powered by an inline four, the frame is made of aluminum sections and the whole fairing serves aerodynamics, not the rider's comfort. In 2020 the works team machines ran in the livery of the brand's main partner. The parts most visible on a model are precisely those that are difficult to produce in plastic: brake and clutch lines, small bolts and fine grilles, which is exactly what the set is there to make up for.
Additional parts for building the GSX-RR in 1:12 scale, prepared for Tamiya kits. They replace or supplement selected parts of the model and raise the level of detail beyond the contents of the box. The exact make-up of the set, the number of parts and their placement are given in the manufacturer's instructions; follow them throughout the assembly.
Work over a surface from which a small part can be picked up, and use tweezers. Cut the excess material and the traces of manufacture away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest down carefully. Check the material of the parts: neither metal nor resin holds with polystyrene cement, so make the joint with cyanoacrylate glue, preferably in gel form so that it does not run needlessly. Most of the additions are easier to fit once the frame and the fairing have been painted. Leave the polished metal parts unpainted and simply degrease them, otherwise you will lose their main advantage.
For the modeler who builds a motorcycle in 1:12 scale and wants the detail to be at the level of the real machine. The work is fine but short and the result shows at first glance.
The kit, the paints and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
