A set of additional parts for the Tyrrell P34 Formula 1 car in 1:20 scale, in the form for the Japanese Grand Prix of 1976 and for Tamiya kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Tyrrell P34 is a Formula 1 car with six wheels: the front axle is divided into two rows of small wheels one behind the other, while the rear remained conventional. The design was meant to lower the air resistance ahead of the car and to spread the braking. The 1976 season was the P34's most successful, and its final event was run in Japan, where the program was marked by heavy rain.
The package brings additional parts for building this car in 1:20 scale in the form for the Japanese Grand Prix of 1976 and is intended for Tamiya kits. Additional sets of this kind replace or supplement details that a kit simplifies. The exact make-up of the package is given in the enclosed instructions; follow them in choosing the glue as well.
Hold the parts in place dry first and only then attach them permanently, so that it becomes clear where the seat in the kit has to be adjusted. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest down so that no edge remains. Prepare the small parts over a surface with a raised rim, otherwise you will lose them when you cut them off. Before painting, wash and degrease the parts and apply a thin base coat, on which the paint holds better than on a bare surface.
For modelers who want to build the P34 beyond the level of the contents of the box and who do not mind working on small parts. Several Studio27 detail sets for this car exist under similar names, so check before ordering which specification you need. The kit, the paints and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
