The set from Trumpeter contains several small models of the Douglas A-1 Skyraider carrier-borne attack aircraft in 1:700 scale. It is used to fill out the flight decks and hangars of aircraft carrier kits in the same scale. The parts are injection-molded in plastic.
The Douglas A-1 Skyraider was a single-engine piston-powered carrier attack aircraft of the US Navy. It stood out for its large weapons load and its long endurance, which made it well suited to attacking ground targets and to close support. Among other places it served in Korea and in Vietnam.
The parts are minute in this scale, so work with tweezers, a sharp knife and liquid cement for plastic. Clean the mold seam lines up carefully and spray the models with an airbrush or a fine brush in thin coats. The propellers and the landing gear are among the most delicate parts.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
