Responsibility details are not available.
A set of figures of Swiss mercenary infantry of the sixteenth century in 1:72 scale. The figures are supplied unpainted and the mold seam has to be removed from them before painting. It is a theme that appears only rarely among the models on offer, although it is one of the best-known infantries in the whole of European history.
At the turn of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries the Swiss mercenaries were considered the best infantry in Europe. They fought in closed squares with long pikes, which could stop even cavalry, and were complemented by men with halberds. Their service was a business: a number of European rulers hired them, and their reputation was such that the mere presence of Swiss detachments had an influence on the course of negotiations. Their recognition mark was colorful clothing with slashes and striking colors.
Wash the figures in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry, because otherwise the paint will not hold. Take the mold seam off with a blade led at an angle. The colorful Renaissance clothing is the main attraction of this theme: paint every figure differently and do not be afraid of saturated combinations, because the illustrations of the period really are like that. The metal parts will stand out after a black base and a light drybrush. The long pikes are fragile, so it is advisable to replace them with wire or a thin rod.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; neither glue nor paints are included in the package.
