Masking set for the wheel bays of the Spitfire Mk.Ib/IIb/Vb (1:32) — flexible foam masks that fill the wheel bays and make clean spraying of the underside of the model easier.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of flexible foam masks intended to cover the wheel bays when spraying the underside and the landing gear bays of the Spitfire fighter in 1:32 scale. The soft foam is simply pressed into the openings of the bays, where it is held by its own springiness, so that during airbrushing no paint runs inside the bays or onto the surrounding detail. Once removed and washed, the masks can be used again. The set is shaped for one particular kit of the early Spitfire with the type b wing in this scale.
The Supermarine Spitfire was a British single-seat fighter with a distinctive elliptical wing and a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine. The early Mk.I and Mk.II versions bore the brunt of the fighting in 1940, and the Mk.V version became the most widely used fighter variant of the middle part of the war. The b wing designation corresponds to armament of two 20 mm cannon and four machine guns.
This is a masking aid, not a model. The paints, the glue and the kit are not included in the package.
