A set of masks for painting the kit of the Boeing 757-200 from the Zvezda company in 1:144 scale. The parts are cut to suit this kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Boeing 757-200 is a narrow-body twin-engined airliner with a conspicuously long fuselage and tall landing gear, thanks to which it stands higher on the ground than most machines of its size. It is exactly that slim silhouette that makes it a rewarding model: in 1:144 scale the fuselage is long and straight, and every inaccurate transition of paint on it is immediately glaring.
Masks for painting, cut to suit the kit of the Boeing 757-200 from the Zvezda company in 1:144 scale. They cover the areas that are to stay free of paint and replace the tedious cutting of strips of adhesive tape for small shapes. Compare the extent of the set and the placement of the individual parts with the manufacturer's instructions.
Wash and degrease the base, or the mask will not adhere. Stick it on before spraying, press the edges down with a toothpick or the blunt tip of tweezers and apply the paint in several thin layers. One thick coat leaves a ridge at the edge of the mask that stays visible after removal. Take the mask off while the paint is fresh; a dried layer likes to tear. Work in parts and do not stick all the masks onto the model at once if the paints are sprayed in several steps, so that the parts stuck on earlier do not needlessly dry onto the surface.
For builders of airliners in 1:144 scale who do not want to tape small shapes up and want a sharp transition of colors. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
