A TFace masking set for the glazing of the Hawker Sea Fury FB.11 in 1:32 scale with parts for the outer as well as the inner side of the canopy. Cut for the DBMK kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Sea Fury FB.11 served with the Fleet Air Arm as a carrier fighter-bomber and belongs to the last generation of machines with a piston engine. The bubble canopy offers a view into the interior over a large part of its circumference, so on a model in 1:32 scale even the way the frames are painted on the inside can be seen.
In the package there are pre-cut self-adhesive masks in the TFace form, that is parts for both sides of the glazing. The inner masks let you paint the frames in the interior shade without having to outline them laboriously with a brush. The shapes are based on the DBMK kit in 1:32 scale.
Mask and spray the inner sides before you seat the canopy on the fuselage, and only then work from the outside. Wash the glazing beforehand and let it dry. On curved areas press the mask down in short sections, so that no fold forms under which paint can run. Spray lightly and preferably several times. Lift the masks off only once the paint has dried, slowly and at a shallow angle; wipe any adhesive residue away with a cotton swab moistened in weak alcohol.
The set is meant for modelers who build the Sea Fury with an open cockpit or who care that the glazing looks good from inside as well. At a large scale it is one of the details that decide the overall impression. The package holds only the masking set; the kit, paints and glue are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
