Responsibility details are not available.
A set of unpainted figures of eleventh-century Christian heavy cavalry in 1:72 scale. It belongs to a range devoted to the time of the Reconquista, from which both sides of the conflict can be put together. Cavalry sets tend to hold fewer figures than infantry ones, because each figure consists of a rider and a horse. The material is soft plastic, on which ordinary polystyrene cement and paint do not hold without preparation.
On the Iberian Peninsula of the eleventh century heavy cavalry was the decisive force. The riders wore mail armor, a helmet with a nasal and a large kite shield that covered the leg and the flank. It is in this period that the charge with the lance couched under the arm comes in, which puts the whole weight of rider and horse behind the blow. Against the light Andalusian cavalry it was an entirely different way of fighting.
First wash the figures in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry out completely. Then apply a primer intended for soft plastics. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the rider separately and seat him on the horse only at the end. Do the mail armor with a dark base and a dry brush in a metallic shade; a solid metallic color would flatten it.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
