A printed modeling magazine, not a kit. Modelar comes out in Czech as a monthly and is one of the longest-published titles in its field in the Czech Republic. Every issue mixes reports, building guides, reviews of new releases and news from competitions, so it also suits a reader who does not stick to one branch of the hobby.
For modelers who want to keep track of new releases and are looking for inspiration for their own work. The magazine also suits beginners, because the building guides are written clearly, in Czech. For collectors of complete volumes it is at the same time the missing piece in a run, because the individual issues together give a rounded picture of what happened in modeling in a given year and which new releases appeared. The contents of individual issues naturally differ according to what came out that month and what was happening in the modeling world.
Compared with the internet, a printed issue has the advantage that you can keep it open beside a model under construction and nothing in it switches by itself. The building procedures are also easy to compare with what you have on the bench, and the magazine stays readable even with hands smeared with filler and paint.
