A snap-fit plastic kit of the Soviet ZSU-23-4 Shilka self-propelled anti-aircraft system in 1:100 scale from Zvezda. The parts connect by snapping together without glue, so assembly is quick and manageable even for a beginner. The small 1:100 scale suits both large battle groups and tabletop games.
The ZSU-23-4 Shilka is a tracked self-propelled anti-aircraft system armed with a radar-directed four-barrel 23 mm cannon. It entered service in the 1960s and, thanks to its high rate of fire, was used to destroy low-flying targets; in modernized form it remains in use today.
The parts can be dry-fitted without glue; for extra strength it is still worth adding a touch of plastic cement to the joints. Spray the model with an appropriate green shade using an airbrush, and add weathering and highlight the running gear with a wash and dry-brushing.
The model is supplied unassembled. Paints and glue (optional for a snap-fit build) are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
