An injection-molded plastic kit of the ATR-42-300 turboprop regional airliner in the popular collectors' scale of 1:144 from the maker X-Scale. It is a new mold with clear parts for the glazing, and masking films making the painting of the windows and the transitions easier are part of the package as well. The model thus makes it possible to work a civilian livery out cleanly.
The ATR-42 is a twin-engine turboprop aircraft for short regional routes developed by European cooperation. The -300 version is among the first production ones and carries the characteristic high-set wing, a rear door with integrated steps and fuel-efficient turboprop engines. Machines of this type fly with regional carriers all over the world.
Civilian airliners stand or fall with a smooth surface and glossy varnish, so fill the joints carefully and sand them over. Mask the glazing with the enclosed films. For colorful airlines an airbrush and quality decals come in useful; we recommend applying large areas of varnish in thin coats and polishing them over.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
