An injection-molded plastic kit of the American four-engine jet strategic transport Lockheed C-141B Starlifter in 1:144 scale. The model is released by Roden. The small 1:144 scale makes it possible to build even this large aircraft in a reasonable space on a shelf; the package holds plastic parts, clear windows and a decal sheet.
The C-141 Starlifter was the first large jet military transport of the US Air Force. The C-141B version came about by stretching the fuselage of the original version and adding in-flight refueling equipment, which markedly increased the usable volume of the cargo hold. For decades the aircraft formed the backbone of American strategic airlift of cargo as well as paratroops.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic; on the large fuselage take care that the halves line up straight, and fill and sand the joints. Apply a primer before painting. The metal and gray finishes are best laid down with an airbrush; set the decals on gloss varnish. We recommend masking the windows and fitting them only after spraying.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
