A plastic kit of the three-engine wide-body McDonnell Douglas MD-11F freighter in 1:144 scale from MikroMir. The package holds plastic sprues, a clear glazing part, decals and instructions. The model represents a typical long-haul freighter in the colors of a carrier and is an impressive piece for collectors of airliners.
The McDonnell Douglas MD-11 is a three-engine wide-body aircraft derived from the DC-10, with a lengthened fuselage, aerodynamic refinements and modern avionics. The MD-11F freighter version became a popular machine with long-haul courier and cargo carriers, with whom it still serves today thanks to its great payload and range.
With a large fuselage in a small scale, watch for a clean joint of the halves and fill the seams; weight set into the nose will keep the model from sitting back. Mask the glazing. Spray the extensive white areas with an airbrush over a good primer; apply the decals over gloss varnish and even the whole out with a satin clear coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
