This kit in 1:144 scale from Clear Prop Models represents the American Grumman OV-1 Mohawk observation and reconnaissance aircraft in the OV-1A and JOV-1A versions. It is an injection-molded plastic model with a finely detailed cockpit and clear parts. The version offered is an easy-to-build starter edition. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Grumman OV-1 Mohawk was an American turboprop aircraft for battlefield observation and tactical reconnaissance, deployed above all by US Army aviation. It was marked by a good view from the cockpit, a tough airframe and the ability to operate from short strips. The JOV-1A version was adapted to carry armament.
In the small scale, careful work on the cockpit and the clear parts shows; masks for the glazing will help. We recommend a primer and an airbrush for an even coat, and lay the decals over a gloss varnish and fix them with a matte varnish. Rockets and drop tanks can be added according to the scheme.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
