This is a resin detail accessory, not a stand-alone kit of an airplane. The package contains a pair of JT8D-15 engine nacelles in 1:144 scale shown with the thrust reverser open, that is in the state used during the landing roll. The set is intended for models of the Boeing 737-200.
JT8D engines powered a number of classic narrow-body airliners, among them the first generation Boeing 737. A thrust reverser deflects the stream of gases forward and helps to slow an aircraft on the runway; its deployed position is a popular subject for bringing a finished model on a diorama to life.
Wash the resin parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and join them with cyanoacrylate glue. Wear respiratory protection while sanding. The inner surfaces of the reverser and the blades are finished in metal shades with light emphasis, which brings out the relief.
