The Tu-134UBL training aircraft, 1:144 (Zvezda) is an injection-molded plastic kit of the Russian training aircraft with an elongated combat nose.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in the small 1:144 scale captures the Russian Tupolev Tu-134UBL training aircraft with the NATO code name Crusty-B. It is a newer mold with fine engraving. The small size is ideal for collectors of aircraft with limited room.
The Tu-134UBL came about in the 1980s on the basis of the Tu-134 airliner. It received a characteristic elongated pointed nose with radar, which imitated the nose of supersonic bombers, so it served to train their crews. The aircraft allowed several cadets to be instructed at once and several dozen of them were built.
In this scale, watch for a clean fit of the fuselage and careful filling of the joints. It pays to mask the cabin glazing. Use an airbrush and fine shades of gray on the large areas of the fuselage; the panel lines can be brought out with a thin wash. Glue the antennas and the small parts at the very end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
