Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American AAVP-7A1 amphibious assault vehicle in the small 1:144 scale from Trumpeter. Thanks to the small scale it is a quick build with a limited number of parts - in this range the tracks and road wheels are usually supplied as pre-assembled units, and the model is completed by waterslide decals. The exact number of parts and the particular markings are given in the instructions enclosed in the package.
The AAVP-7A1, formerly designated LVTP-7, is a tracked amphibious vehicle of the United States Marine Corps that carries a landing force from ships across the surf to the beach and on inland. It swims thanks to its high boat-shaped hull and water jets, and on land it moves on tracks. It carries a large infantry squad and a defensive weapon in a small turret. The type has been the backbone of US Marines amphibious landings since the 1970s and has gone through a series of upgrades.
In 1:144 scale the parts are small - work with tweezers, a sharp knife and thin plastic cement, and clean up the joints gently. The base is a uniform olive or desert color depending on the deployment; a small model comes alive with discreet edge highlighting by dry brush and a light dusting of pigment on the lower areas and the tracks. Given the size, handle the decals carefully and fix them with a decal softener.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
