Responsibility details are not available.
A finished collector's model of the works racing motorcycle Jawa 350 2xOHC of 1961 in 1:18 scale from the Czech brand Abrex. The model is completely assembled and painted; it is not a kit but a finished metal model meant to be displayed straight away. It captures the characteristic low silhouette of a racing machine with a teardrop tank and an exposed twin-cylinder engine.
The Jawa 350 2xOHC was a works road racing special whose designation refers to a twin-cylinder engine with two overhead camshafts. At the turn of the 1950s and 1960s Czechoslovak riders, led by Frantisek Stastny and Gustav Havel, used it to intervene successfully in the road racing world championship and to measure themselves against the works machines of the great brands. The high-revving four-stroke was among the peaks of the engineering art of the Strakonice and Tynec schools, and it still graces classic racing events today.
The model needs no assembly; unpack it and display it. Keep the surface with a dry soft cloth and protect the model from dust and direct sunlight. In a display case it looks superb beside civilian Jawas of the same era, as the contrast of a racing special and the production machines tells the story of the brand.
A finished collector's model; it is supplied assembled and painted and is not intended for building or as a toy.
