An injection-molded plastic kit of the iconic American car Ford Mustang 2+2 Fastback of 1965 in 1:24 scale from Revell. The model offers a multi-part engine, a separate exhaust system, faithfully rendered wheels and chrome parts. The box contains decals including license plates for a faithful replica of the original.
The Ford Mustang, introduced in 1964, started the era of the so-called pony cars and became an instant sales hit. The 2+2 Fastback variant of 1965 caught the eye with its sloping rear end and sporting silhouette. A range of engines was on offer under the hood, including a 4.7-liter V8 with up to around 275 horsepower, so the Mustang combined attractive looks with good driving qualities.
Use thin cement for plastic and work in subassemblies: finish and paint the engine and the interior before you close up the body. On the body, primer and a quality gloss finish pay off, ideally applied with an airbrush and then polished for a deep shine. Treat the chrome parts carefully and do not cover them with glue. Glue the glazing with glue for clear parts so that it does not cloud over.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
