An injection-molded plastic kit of the Iveco Turbostar 190.48 Special semitrailer tractor in 1:24 scale from Italeri. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted with decals and rubber tires. It is a fully detailed set: it reproduces the complete ladder frame of the chassis as well as the V8 engine and offers a well-worked cab. The finished model measures around twenty-three centimeters and offers rich mechanical detail.
The Turbostar was a great commercial success for Iveco — thanks to its strength, reliability and power it won an important position on the European market and at the end of the 1980s it was one of the most widely used trucks in Italy. The 190.48 version was fitted with a powerful engine of around 480 horsepower and offered remarkable road manners.
First assemble and paint the ladder frame, the engine and the chassis, and only then close the cab up. Spray the cab with an airbrush and polish the gloss surfaces; fit the chrome and glazed parts at the end. The engine bay and the chassis benefit from undershading and a dry brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
