An injection-molded plastic kit of the British off-road vehicle Land Rover Series III in the long-wheelbase LWB 109 (Commercial) form in 1:24 scale from Revell. It is a richly structured kit; according to the manufacturer it has a multi-part four-cylinder engine, the option of building the vehicle with right-hand or left-hand drive and decals with registration plates of several countries.
The Land Rover is a legendary British off-road vehicle whose third series (Series III) was built in the 1970s and 1980s. The long-wheelbase version of 109 inches offered more room and payload, which made it suitable for carrying heavy loads and for rough country. The Commercial form with a closed body served companies, farmers and rescue and army units all over the world. A sturdy aluminum body and simple, repairable mechanics made the Land Rover a byword for a reliable working off-roader.
First finish and paint the multi-part engine and the chassis, and only then close up the body. Decide in advance whether you are building the right-hand or the left-hand drive version. Prime the body and paint it; matte shades of working and utility vehicles suit a Land Rover. Fit the glazing only after painting and choose the registration plates (decals) by country. Glue the plastic with thin cement for polystyrene. A fine patina of dust and mud in the wheel arches suits an off-road vehicle.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
