An injection-molded plastic kit of the modern MAN TGX XXL D38 semitrailer tractor unit in 1:24 scale from the Italian manufacturer Italeri. The model captures the tractor unit alone (without a trailer), with the spacious long-haul XXL cab, a detailed interior with seats and dashboard, the chassis and the engine. The box holds plastic and rubber parts, decals for two finishes and instructions. It is a more demanding kit. Check the exact contents of the box against the instructions; paints and glue are not included in the package.
The MAN TGX is among the best of the European long-haul tractor units, and the XXL range offers the most spacious cab, intended for long international routes. The D38 engine is a modern diesel six-cylinder with high output and torque, thanks to which the vehicle handles heavy combinations as well. The combination of comfort, performance and distinctive design makes it a favorite among truck drivers and among model collectors.
Spray the large cab with an airbrush over a thin primer and polish the gloss coat; pick out the chrome parts (bumper, mirrors, exhaust, fuel tanks) with a suitable metallic paint. Detail the interior and the chassis before final assembly and mask the glazing. Use thin modeling cement on the plastic joints and glue the small parts with care. Apply the decals over a gloss surface and seal them with varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
