Opel Ascona 400 MC 1981 (Kleint / Wagner) 1:24 is a detailed plastic kit of the rally car from Belkits.
Responsibility details are not available.
A finely worked injection-molded plastic kit of the racing Opel Ascona 400 in the form it took for the 1981 Monte Carlo Rally, as driven by the crew of Kleint and Wagner. Besides the plastic parts, the kit from the Belgian manufacturer Belkits also contains photo-etched parts, rubber tires, material for the seat belts and quality decals for the faithful finish and markings of the car as it was.
The Opel Ascona 400 was a rally car built for the Group 4/B category of the day. With rear-wheel drive and a strong four-cylinder engine it was among the successful contenders on the rally stages at the turn of the 1970s and 1980s, and in 1981 it appeared at the demanding Monte Carlo Rally as well.
Spraying the body with an airbrush and coating it with a gloss varnish for the effect of car paint is the way to go; bond the photo-etched parts with super glue. The chrome and the interior will round out the overall impression, and the sponsor decals should be settled on a smooth glossy base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
