The Porsche 962C was the European version of the Group C prototype. It grew out of the 956 type: because of the safety regulations it was given a longer wheelbase, so that the driver's legs no longer stayed ahead of the front axle. The power came from a turbocharged horizontally opposed six-cylinder engine, in its later form already with water-cooled heads. The car was among the most widespread machines of the category and ran both with the manufacturer's racing department and with a number of private stables, so the specification differed between cars and between seasons.
Dry-fit the accessory parts first and only then glue them. For small parts reach for cyanoacrylate glue, because ordinary cement for plastic will not bond some materials. With accessories a primer is practically essential, otherwise the paint will not hold. Compare the form of the parts against a photograph of the car you are building — the individual 962C machines differ from one another.
