The detail set captures the Sutton Harness type of restraint as worn by the pilots of the Royal Air Force (RAF) during the Second World War. It is not an aircraft kit but an upgrade accessory for the cockpit. The set combines laser-cut paper that imitates the fabric straps faithfully with fine photo-etched buckles and the characteristic Sutton central lock.
The paper straps are shaped and glued with cyanoacrylate (super glue) or with PVA glue (white glue), the etched buckles with super glue. It is worth toning the belts and weathering them lightly for a faithful look. The set is meant for large-scale models of British fighters in 1:24 scale.
This is a detail accessory, not a standalone model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
