A decal set in 1:24 scale from the Czech maker Mf zone. It makes it possible to build a model of the Renault Megane Maxi in the colors of two cars from the Rallye Sanremo 1998. The set holds the livery, the race numbers and the sponsor markings of the Rowe and Laukkanen crews. It is a standalone accessory; the model itself and paints are not included in the package.

The real subject and the crews

The Renault Megane Maxi was a two-wheel-drive rally special of the kit car class (Formula 2), built on the basis of the production coupe. At the Rallye Sanremo 1998, a World Championship event, Martin Rowe and Tapio Laukkanen started with it. Both drivers were among the best in the British championship of the day: Rowe took the British title in 1998 and Laukkanen in 1999.

Use and tips

• Apply the waterslide decals onto a smooth gloss clear coat, which will prevent a matte outline (the silvering effect).
• Before applying them, let the clear coat cure completely, release the decal in warm water and slide it onto a surface wetted with water.
• We recommend softeners and setting solutions for decals, and a final clear coat to tie the surface together.
