1:24 Road For A Truck is a finished printed display base with a road surface on which a model of a truck is stood.

A printed base that puts a piece of real road under a tractor unit or a semi-trailer. The carrier is an acrylic board 3 millimeters thick measuring 180 x 357 millimeters; a weight of around 210 grams keeps it in place even under a heavier model. The elongated shape matches how long trucks are in 1:24 scale.
A model stood straight on a tabletop or on the glass of a display case looks as though it were floating. A base with a marked road surface gives it a sense of scale and says at once where the scene takes place. It will be appreciated above all in photography, on a competition table and on a shelf where several pieces stand side by side. On a show table it also separates your exhibit from the neighboring ones, so it is immediately clear what belongs together. At the same time it protects the underside of the model and the furniture from abrasion.
The print is applied to a smooth acrylic board, so it wipes clean with a damp cloth and does not buckle the way a paper imitation does. The board holds its shape and will take years of being carried about. Do not leave it in direct sunlight for long periods, and avoid solvents when cleaning it so that the print does not lose its saturation. Wipe the dust off the board before standing a model on it, so that grains do not press into a soft finish.
The base is a finished product ready for immediate use; a model is simply stood on it.
