Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched detail set from Airscale for upgrading the instrument panel and the related cockpit ancillaries of the British fighter Supermarine Spitfire Mk.VIII in 1:24 scale. The set usually combines fine photo-etched parts with color decals for the instrument dials and offers a faithful replacement for the parts of the base kit. It is not a model of the aircraft but a cockpit detail accessory.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.VIII was an improved fighter version of the legendary Spitfire from the second half of the Second World War, powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine and used among other places in the Mediterranean and in Asia. The instrument panel of the Spitfire had a characteristic arrangement of the main flight and engine instruments, which this set captures in detail.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and bend them with an etch bending tool for clean edges. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply the color dial decals onto a prepared base; the instrument faces can be finished with a drop of gloss varnish to imitate glass. Paint the whole assembly in the interior shade before fitting it.
This is a detail accessory, not a complete model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
