An injection-molded plastic kit of the rally car Subaru Legacy RS in 1:24 scale from the Japanese manufacturer Hasegawa. The model captures the car in its form from the 1991 Bettega memorial event, including the characteristic rally equipment and livery. The body is molded in light plastic and the package does not lack a decal sheet with period sponsor markings and start numbers. It is a limited edition aimed at collectors of historic Subaru rally cars.
The Subaru Legacy RS was the racing version of the Legacy sedan with which the Subaru works team entered the World Rally Championship at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s. The car with all-wheel drive and a turbocharged flat-four engine prepared the ground for the brand's later successes. The Legacy RS is also linked with the name of Colin McRae, one of the most popular rally drivers of the time, and represents an important chapter in the history of competition Subarus before the Impreza took over.
Bond the joints with thin cement for plastic and apply a filler before the paint. Spray the base shade of the body with an airbrush and coat it with clear gloss so that the sponsor decals settle without silvering. Rally cars are brought to life by fine emphasis of the panel gaps and discreet weathering on the chassis and the fenders. Fit the glazing with glue for clear parts.
