An injection-molded plastic kit of the classic German transporter Volkswagen T3 in 1:24 scale from Revell. The model offers a multi-part body, a multi-part engine and, for greater fidelity, a working sliding side door. A set of decals with license plates from various countries is included, so the finished model is easy to individualize.
The Volkswagen T3 is the third generation of the legendary VW line of commercial and family transporters, built from the end of the 1970s. Compared with its rounded predecessors it received a more angular, more modern shape and offered a markedly roomier interior. It served as a van, a minibus, a camper and a family car and to this day it is among the popular youngtimers with a large following.
Cut the parts off with a sharp knife and glue them with thin cement for plastic. The large flat surfaces of the T3 body call for careful smoothing; spray primer and then a single-color finish with an airbrush. Finish the interior and the engine bay before closing up the body. Try the sliding door out before gluing so that it stays working. Pick out the chrome and black trim and highlight the panel gaps with a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
