An injection-molded plastic kit of the modern Volvo FH tractor unit in the Plat Dak configuration (a low, flat cab roof) in 1:24 scale from Italeri. The box offers a well detailed cab and interior, a worked out engine and frame, photo-etched parts and realistic rubber tires. The doors and the radiator grille can be built in the open or the closed position, which gives the model variety in a display case.
The Volvo FH is a top-class Swedish long-haul tractor unit and one of the most successful ranges on European roads. It stands out for a modern aerodynamic cab designed for low fuel consumption and high comfort and safety for the crew. The version with the low flat roof (Plat Dak) is used above all where the overall height of the combination matters, for example with high-bodied semitrailers. The FH range is among the best in its field.
Use thin cement for plastic and work in sub-assemblies. Finish and paint the engine, the frame and the cab interior before you close them in. Spray the cab with an airbrush over a primer; a gloss coat will bring out the color and the decals. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. The chrome and painted surfaces of a tractor unit stand out on a smooth, well polished base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
