Airscale WWII Luftwaffe instruments 1:24 is a set of color decals of instrument dials for rendering the cockpits of German Second World War aircraft in detail.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not an airplane model but a set of decals in 1:24 scale from the British firm Airscale, which specializes in highly faithful cockpit accessories. The sheet holds a large selection of color decals of individual aircraft instruments (altimeters, airspeed indicators, tachometers, artificial horizons, pressure gauges and others) as we find them in the cockpits of Luftwaffe aircraft of the 1930s and 1940s. The decals serve to liven up the instrument panels and the side panels of a cockpit and make them believable.
The instrument decals are applied onto plastic or photo-etched instrument panels and create the impression of real dials with legible scales and needles. Thanks to the large 1:24 scale even small details stand out. The individual dials are separate on the sheet, with a minimum of carrier film, so they can be placed exactly according to a particular reference.
It is a good idea to varnish the surface under a decal with gloss varnish, to settle the decal in a softener and, once dry, to go over it with matte or semi-gloss varnish. For the effect of a glazed instrument, a drop of clear resin or gloss varnish can be put onto the dial. The set usually holds illustrated instructions.
This is an accessory (decals), not a kit. The airplane model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
