Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:25 scale from the American brand AMT depicts the famous Kenworth Aerodyne transporter nicknamed Hideout, which served as a mobile base and carrier for Tyrone Malone's drag racing machines. The boxing follows the vintage AMT form and contains parts on sprues, chrome-plated and clear parts and a color decal sheet with fine pinstriping. According to the manufacturer, rubber tires are included as well. The kit is meant for more advanced builders who will appreciate a striking show truck for a collection.
From the 1970s onward Tyrone Malone was one of the legends of the American drag racing and show scene. With his fleet of converted tractors he toured races and shows all over the United States. The Hideout Transporter served as a striking support vehicle that carried the racing machines and at the same time advertised the whole spectacle. The Kenworth Aerodyne with its aerodynamic cab roof was a modern long-haul tractor at the time.
Use thin modeling cement for plastic on the plastic parts. We recommend spraying the body with an airbrush over a primer and finishing it with a clear coat, so that the characteristic gloss of a show truck comes out. Apply the chrome parts and the pinstriping decals only onto a finished paint job; paint the interior and the chassis before you close the cab.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
