A large-scale plastic model of the M16A4 variant of the AR-15/M16/M4 weapon family in 1:3 scale from Trumpeter. It is a static assembly model in injection-molded plastic, not a working weapon. The model faithfully captures the shape of the real rifle and usually comes with a stand and illustrated instructions.
The M16A4 is a later version of the classic M16 service rifle, marked out by a fixed stock and an upper rail for mounting optics and accessories. It is based on the proven design with direct gas impingement and is among the most widely used versions of this family. The large 1:3 scale makes it possible to show the rail system, the sights and the breakdown of the stock in detail.
Glue the parts with cement for plastic and clean up the mold seams carefully, as they are clearly visible in a large scale. A metallic look for the barrel and the mechanism is achieved with an airbrush in gunmetal and black shades, while the flat surfaces of the weapon come out with dark flat shades. Pick out the edges with a dry brush and display the finished model on the enclosed stand.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. It is not a working weapon. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
