Responsibility details are not available.
A resin accessory for a finished model, a late-type drop tank of 610 gallons cut for the Phantom II versions designated F and G. Reskit carries this tank as a complete line in three scales and in two versions according to the aircraft variants, so you pick exactly what you need for your model. You fit the accessory onto the pylon of a finished airframe in place of the part from the box and get a crisper shape and finer detail.
The McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II is one of the most widespread combat aircraft of the Cold War. The F-4F version was a machine adapted for the needs of the Luftwaffe, while the F-4G Wild Weasel V was a specialized US Air Force variant for the suppression of enemy air defenses. Phantoms flew with drop tanks practically always; long range mattered as much on them as armament, and the configuration of the pylons is part of what places a model in a particular role and period at once.
First wash the casting in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent to get the remains of the mold release agent off it. Cut the casting block away with a fine saw, level the surface on a sanding plate and protect your airways when sanding resin. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue; on a larger mating surface a glue with a filler or a drop of thickened cyanoacrylate helps. Apply a primer before painting, as resin takes paint poorly without a base. Tanks tend to be matched in color with the aircraft, but with a patina of their own from fuel and handling, so it pays to tune them separately and fit them only afterward.
