A 3D printed AN/ALQ-119 ECM pod in the medium length, 1:32 scale from the manufacturer Reskit is an external add-on for models of tactical aircraft, not a stand-alone kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is an add-on to an aircraft model, not a kit. According to the name the set is made by 3D printing and represents the AN/ALQ-119 electronic warfare pod in the medium length configuration. It is hung under the wing or on a fuselage pylon of a model in 1:32 scale and adds equipment that the kit in the box usually does not contain.
The AN/ALQ-119 is an American jamming pod intended to disrupt the work of air-defense radar equipment. In US Air Force service it appeared on tactical aircraft, among others on the F-4 Phantom II, the F-16 and the A-10. It was made in several length configurations, because the internal equipment of the individual versions differed; this set represents the medium length. When choosing, therefore, go by the particular machine and period you are building.
Wash the 3D printed parts in warm water with a drop of detergent and check whether any remains of the supports are left on them; cut those off with a knife and sand the marks gently. Very fine sanding paper and a coat of primer will even out the fine layering of the surface. It is bonded with super glue. Choose the painting according to the machine the pod will hang on; a fine wash will bring out the division of the panels, the cooling intakes and the small antennas. Before gluing, check dry how the attachment sits against the pylon of the model.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
