This set from the Czech maker CMK is not an aircraft kit but a standalone add-on. It holds a precisely cast resin model of the modern photo-reconnaissance pod that was carried under the fuselage of the Panavia Tornado multirole aircraft. The pod allowed the terrain to be photographed from medium and higher altitudes. A small decal sheet with technical stencils and instructions showing the correct position are usually part of the package.
The Panavia Tornado is a supersonic combat aircraft with a variable-geometry wing, which served among others with the Luftwaffe. For reconnaissance tasks it carried sensor pods that allowed imagery to be gathered without having to approach the target.
Wash the mold release residue off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Lay down a primer, then airbrush the colors to match the particular machine and finally the decals.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
