EADS GAF Telelens Pod 1:32 is a CMK resin detail set: a faithful model of the optical reconnaissance pod carried under the fuselage of the Panavia Tornado in service with the Luftwaffe.

This is not an aircraft kit but a standalone add-on. The set from the Czech maker CMK holds a precisely cast resin model of the optical reconnaissance pod with a telephoto lens, which was carried in flight under the fuselage of the Panavia Tornado multirole aircraft. The pod was used for oblique photography from medium and higher altitudes. A small decal sheet with technical stencils and instructions showing the correct placement are usually included.
The Panavia Tornado is a supersonic multirole combat aircraft with a variable-geometry wing, operated among others by the Luftwaffe. For photo-reconnaissance tasks it carried pods, of which the telephoto type allowed distant targets to be photographed without approaching them.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding resin. Lay down a primer, then airbrush the colors to match the particular machine and finally apply the decals.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
