This is not an aircraft model but a resin detail set from the Czech maker CMK. It brings a faithfully cast avionics box set into the starboard side of the fuselage of the F-104G/S jet fighter, which can be shown off with the service panel swung open. The set is intended to detail an injection-molded Starfighter model in 1:32 scale.
The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter was a slender supersonic fighter; the F-104G and the Italian-upgraded F-104S differed in equipment and avionics. Service bays with densely packed electronics are among the details that bring a model to life when the internal structure of the airframe is on show.
Exposing the box calls for cutting out the relevant panel on the side of the fuselage and fitting the resin part; expect some filling. Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks with a saw and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. The detail is picked out with a wash and dry brushing.
The set holds resin add-on parts only; the model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
