This is not an airplane model, but a resin detail set from the Czech manufacturer CMK. It brings a faithfully cast engine section with the jet engine and its accessories for an effective display of the airframe opened up. The set is intended for completing an injection-molded model of the Lockheed F-104G fighter in 1:32 scale.
The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter was a slender supersonic jet fighter with short, razor-thin wings, powered by a single powerful jet engine. The F-104G version became the most widespread and in the 1960s and 1970s it was used by a number of European and other air forces. On this type an exposed engine is one of the impressive additions to models built for close viewing.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. It pays to paint the engine in metallic shades, pick it out with a wash and add cable runs for maximum realism with the fuselage opened up.
The set contains only resin accessory parts; the model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
