F-105G Thunderchief cockpit, Basic version (1:32, Reskit)

A detailed 3D-printed resin set for the cockpit, not an airplane model. The set replaces the cockpit in the large-scale F-105G Thunderchief kit in 1:32 scale and is shaped for the plastic kit from Trumpeter. The Basic version means that the instrument panels and side consoles are handled by the supplied 3D decals, so you reach a faithful result even without picking out the dials by hand. The set is made by Reskit of Ukraine, a specialist in resin and 3D-printed accessories.

Watch out for the variant: this cockpit belongs to the two-seat F-105G Wild Weasel, not to the single-seat F-105D, and the two versions differ in layout as well as in equipment. Make sure you are building the G.

Use and fitting

• Wash the parts in lukewarm water with detergent, which removes uncured print resin residue.
• Cut the print supports and blocks off with a sharp scalpel or a fine saw, and never break them off.
• Lightly sand the areas after cutting, always with respiratory protection, ideally wet.
• Bond with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); cement for plastic will not hold on resin.
• Paint and finish the cockpit before closing the fuselage, because you will not reach it later.

For more experienced modelers who are building the F-105G in 1:32 from Trumpeter and want a cockpit at collector level. Working with resin and 3D decals assumes a steady hand.

The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package. Use a respirator and ventilate when sanding resin.
