F-15 exhaust nozzles (F100-PW-229) in the open position, 1:32 - a resin 3D-printed detail set from the Ukrainian maker ResKit for finishing the tail end of a model faithfully.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin, 3D-printed detail set from ResKit, not an aircraft model. The set replaces the exhaust nozzles of both engines at the rear of an F-15 model in the versions with the F100-PW-229 powerplant, as used by later-series F-15I Ra'am and F-15K Slam Eagle machines. The nozzles are rendered in the open (spread) position, the way they look on the ground with the engines shut down.
The McDonnell Douglas, today Boeing, F-15 is a twin-engine fighter and strike aircraft. The F100-PW-229 powerplant is the more powerful version of the Pratt and Whitney engine fitted to modernized and export machines. The movable segments of the exhaust nozzle change the cross-section with the engine setting, and rendering them in detail markedly raises the fidelity of a model's tail end.
Separate the parts carefully from the print supports, wash off the residue and degrease them. They are glued with cyanoacrylate (super) glue. We recommend priming them and then shading the metallic and scorched tones with an airbrush, washes and pigments for the effect of heat-stressed metal.
The set is an aftermarket accessory in resin, not an aircraft kit. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
